Balli attained a Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture and Communication from NYU Steinhardt, U.S. before completing an MBA in journalism from MAZ, Die Schweizer Journalistenschule, Lucerne, Switzerland. Her professional experience began outside of the educational sphere, where she was the European Director of Corporate Marketing, Communication and Public Relations at Agfa Gevaert for two years, before becoming the worldwide director of the same department from 1994 to 2005. Balli has transferred her own studies and vast professional experience to teaching and specializes in Marketing Management, Ethics in Business, Mass Media Legislation and Ethics, Cases in Public Relations, Cases in Marketing and International Public Relations at the BBA level and Mass Media Law at the MBA level. She has attended and contributed to an array of professional conferences and has received a variety of awards for professional performance and excellence in teaching.
